A small selection of Speakeasy's Past Schools Projects...
A magical installation project, turning a school hall into an interactive garden complete with shed. Grandpa's Garden was originally developed with Eyres Monsell Primary School, and in 07/08 was redesigned to help deliver the SEAL programme to four Leicester City Primaries.
Following on from the success of 'The Trashtown Mystery' (Speakeasy's Interactive Environmental Workshop for schools year 6). Speakeasy once again worked in partnership with the Councils of Derbyshire to produce 'Adventures in Dystopia', a stimulating and inspirational environmental play and workshop for schools year 8. Not only were all Derbyshire secondary schools eligible to receive this project for FREE, they could also win prizes up to the value of £1000 as part of the project. Click here for more info.
Sabanrab transformed a whole school into an interactive board game, with individual classrooms becoming game squares complete with curriculum-linked challenges. To add to the drama of the project, the children were working to save one of the school staff, who had become mysteriously trapped in a TV screen in the school hall. A touring drug awareness programme for schools year 8, featuring a performance and workshop package.
An interactive workshop for Primary schools aimed at raising awareness and giving practical information about water conservation.
A citizenship play for schools year 6 which an for several years visiting schools, summer schools, community safety public events, conferences and arts venues. The Trashtown Mystery
Interactive environmental workshop for Year 6. Help the intergalactic detective solve the mystery of how Trashtown became over-run! Explored the subject of waste management, landfill and recycling in a fun and interactive way.
